How to Mount an LCD to a Cinder-Block Wall

There's nothing more desirable than mounting your huge flat-screen TV to the living-room wall, where every seat in the house can become the best seat in the house. Although most walls are constructed of wood or composite and therefore installation of a wall-mount is easy, cinder-block walls pose more of a challenge.

Instructions

    1

Decide on a location for the TV. Use caution in selection placement, as cinder-block walls can't easily be patched if you change your mind. Using the wall-mount bracket as a template, mark the hole locations on the wall with pencil or chalk.

    2

Take your handheld drill, masonry bit attached, and drill holes into the cinder block. Insert the plastic anchors into the holes. Attach the wall-mount, sans TV.

    3

Securely connect the flat-screen to the wall-mount. It might be wise to have someone else assist you with this process, as flat-screens can be heavy and cumbersome to lift alone.
