How to Mount an LCD to a Cinder-Block Wall
There's nothing more desirable than mounting your huge flat-screen TV to the living-room wall, where every seat in the house can become the best seat in the house. Although most walls are constructed of wood or composite and therefore installation of a wall-mount is easy, cinder-block walls pose more of a challenge.
Instructions
- 1
Decide on a location for the TV. Use caution in selection placement, as cinder-block walls can't easily be patched if you change your mind. Using the wall-mount bracket as a template, mark the hole locations on the wall with pencil or chalk.
2Take your handheld drill, masonry bit attached, and drill holes into the cinder block. Insert the plastic anchors into the holes. Attach the wall-mount, sans TV.
3Securely connect the flat-screen to the wall-mount. It might be wise to have someone else assist you with this process, as flat-screens can be heavy and cumbersome to lift alone.
