How to Mount Speakers to an LCD Wall Mount

Mounting speakers to an LCD wall mount can be done by using a metal bracket. To accomplish this you will need to add support bars for the speakers to the LCD wall mount. The support bars will act as a bracket from which the speakers will hang. This allows you to hang the speakers without mounting them to the wall. However, the speaker wires from the TV to each speaker will also need to be hidden.

Instructions

    1

Find the center on both sides of the LCD wall mount with the tape measure. Make a mark 1 to 1 inches from the edge with the felt-tip marker.

    2

Drill a hole through the LCD mount using a 1/8-inch drill bit with the power drill.

    3

Drill a hole inch from both edges of a -inch-by-12-inch metal bar. Repeat this step on a second metal bar.

    4

Align a hole on one edge of the metal bar with a hole on the LCD mount. Insert a bolt into the hole and hand tighten a nut onto the bolt. Tighten the bolt and nut using two wrenches. Repeat this step to attach the second metal bar to the LCD mount.

    5

Insert a bolt into the hole on opposite end of the metal bar. Hand tighten a nut onto the bolt. Tighten the bolt so that it protrudes from the metal bar of an inch or slightly less. Repeat this step on the other metal bar.

    6

Hang the speakers from the bolts to see how they look on the wall. Connect the speaker wire to the TV and each speaker. Cover the speaker wire and metal bar with a plastic cord cover.
